Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, go to Lake Mburo National Park via the Masaka-Mbarara route, stopping at the Equator at Kayabwe for photographs and water experiments. This little savannah park is home to three of the Big Five: buffaloes, leopards, and hippos, as well as zebras, impalas, topis, and the endangered Rothschild giraffe. When you arrive, check into your lodge and enjoy a great meal overlooking the park’s vast plains.
In the afternoon, take a leisurely boat trip on Lake Mburo, where you may see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds, including pelicans and the rare shoebill stork. As the sun sets, embark on a guided nature walk to see species such as warthogs and antelopes up close before returning to your lodge for a full dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Transfer Back to Kampala/Entebbe
Begin your day with a full breakfast at the lodge before embarking on an exciting 3-hour game drive through Lake Mburo National Park, where you’ll see zebras, giraffes, elands, impalas, buffaloes, hyenas, and a variety of bird species in varied settings. After the wildlife excursion, return to the resort for a great lunch and some quiet time before heading back to Kampala or Entebbe.
