Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe, travel to Virunga

Our representative will receive you on arrival at Entebbe International Airport and share a cup of coffee before your travel to DR Congo gets into motion. The travel takes you out of the Victoria basin, traversing from the north to south hemisphere. You will wander into the Ankole plateau with undulating landscapes, before meandering into the Kigezi highlands late afternoon. You will check into your hotel in Kisoro town in time for dinner.

Day 2: Nyiragongo hiking

The Nyiragongo hiking assembling point at Kibati is about an hour drive from the Bunagana border post on dirt road. Ensure you clear with immigration officials early morning and set out on travel into DR Congo. Team of rangers will brief you about Nyiragongo hiking regulations before leading you into the wilderness. The 4-5hour hike takes you through an area overflowing with astonishing beauty. You will explore the Nyiragongo steep sides and discover the gem very few people have attempted to hike. Day 3: Descend Nyiragongo volcano

Rise at first light and observe a once-in-lifetime mesmerizing sunrise. The descent to the safari camp begins shortly after breakfast. The walk down steep slopes is slow but full of wonderful discoveries. Check into the hotel in time for lunch. Relax, refresh and live your childhood African wilderness dreams.

Day 4; Mountain gorilla trekking and travel to Lake Bunyonyi

Take a very early breakfast and set out for the Bukima ranger post; Mountain gorilla trekking assembly point. The ranger will orientate the Mountain gorilla trekking visitors and brief them about the trekking regulations. Shortly, you set out for the forests and wander into the wilderness looking for the fresh signs of gorilla presence. Explore the wilderness, traverse all hidden corners and discover the feeding areas. The interaction with gorillas is restricted to maximum one hour. Retreat from the forests and reunite with your safari guide. You will travel back to Uganda and onto your hotel on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. The exciting sunset boat cruise is refreshing and increases your chances of exploring Uganda on your safari.

Day 5; Departure

You will set out early morning after breakfast for a 7-hour travel to Kampala City. The safari guide will escort you to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
