Detailed Itinerary for 6 Days Bwindi Gorillas and Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari.
Day 1: Arrival in Kampala/Entebbe
When you arrive, the corporate guide will greet you and take you to your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe, as appropriate. You will settle into your lodge and rest for the evening while preparing for your transfer the next day. If you arrive early enough, you may go for a walk around Entebbe or Kampala Capital City.
Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You’ll have breakfast early in the morning, and then the guide will pick you up from your accommodation to begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The trip to Bwindi is long but pleasant, with panoramic vistas of lush green countryside and traditional homesteads.
You will make a stop near the equator for artisan buying, and lunch will be in Mbarara. Afterward, travel to Bwindi’s gorilla trekking safari park, arriving late in the evening at the park headquarters. You’ll check in at your lodging for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
You’ll start the day with a cup of coffee before searching for mountain gorillas in Bwindi’s rainforest forest. The most fascinating and memorable activity for gorilla hikers is tracking mountain gorillas through the dense bush. The trekking time varies depending on the movement of the gorillas, but it usually lasts between 2 and 8 hours.
Before you begin hiking, plan to go for a long distance across muddy and hilly terrain before encountering the big apes in the jungle. The gorilla trekking experience is clearly gratifying as you sit, play, and interact with them. To safeguard the gorillas and tourists, no one with contagious diseases, such as diarrhea, is permitted to visit them. After the trip, you’ll return to your designated lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Game Drive
After breakfast at your accommodation, you’ll depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha Sector. At Ishasha, you may watch tree-climbing lions. When you get at Queen Elizabeth Park, you will go on an evening game drive to see various creatures such as kobs, antelopes, buffalos, lions, elephants, birds, and more. You will then check into your lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trek and Afternoon Boat Cruise
You will wake up early, eat breakfast, and then go chimp trekking in Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest Reserve. These primates will keep you entertained for at least two to three hours. There are numerous more creatures in the gorge, including monkeys, birds, and baboons.
After the walk, return to your lodge for lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat trip around the Kazinga Channel. During your boat cruise, you will have the opportunity to witness a variety of creatures, including crocodiles, hippos, birds, buffalos, and others.
Day 6: Transfer Back to Kampala/Entebbe and Departure
You will enjoy breakfast at the lodge before beginning your trip back to Kampala or Entebbe. You will arrive in Kampala early enough to be taken to Entebbe International Airport for your departing flight.
