Day 1: Pickup from Arusha and Drive to Ngorongoro Crater Area
Given your location on the first day of the two-day Tanzania safari to Ngorongoro crater, our driving guide will pick you up from either Arusha airport or a hotel, educate you on the safari, and then begin the travel to the Ngorongoro conservation area. The drive takes around 3 to 4 hours and provides stunning views of the countryside, terrain, and lovely landscapes, among other attractions.
Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch before embarking on an exhilarating game drive in which you will have the opportunity to view creatures such as buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, zebras, lions, and leopards. After the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Departure to Arusha
Following an early breakfast on the last day of your two-day Tanzania budget safari to Ngorongoro Crater, your driving guide will pick you up from the resort for a morning game drive, giving you the opportunity to see animals at their most active.
During the game drive, you will be able to explore the Ngorongoro crater, descend through lush forests, and once you reach the crater floor, you will be able to see grazers such as buffaloes, elephants, zebras, gazelles, wildebeest, hartebeest, oribi, rhinos, waterbucks, bushbucks looking for fresh grass with due, predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs looking for a hunt, and bird species such as flamingos, among others. After the morning wildlife drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will check out of the resort and meet your driver guide for the ride to Arusha. You will enjoy spectacular views along the journey, and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Arusha airport for your departure flight or at your accommodation, depending on your itinerary.
