3 Days Mount Nyiragongo Hiking Safari

This 3 Days Mount Nyiragongo Hiking Safari gives you detailed adventure into mountain Nyiragongo and your safari will begin in Kigali. You will head to Gisenyi through to Congo and then Back. When you think one of the greatest wonders of the world then its Nyiragongo. It’s an active volcano and has erupted over 34 times in the recent times the most current being in 2002. This 3 days Nyiragongo Hiking adventure offers a stunning experience to this mountain.

Day 1: Arrival, Kigali city tour, Gisenyi and Goma

On the first day of your 3 days Nyiragongo tour, you will have an early morning breakfast and then will head to do a city tour around Kigali where you will have a chance to see the genocide memorials and other cultural museums. Later you will head to lake Kivu here you will do a boat cruise before you head to Goma in the afternoon. Overnight at Mikeno lodge / Bukima tented camp. FB

Day 2: Nyiragongo hike

Breakfast will be served at 6.30am on the second day of your 3 days Nyiragongo safari. You will meet up with the park rangers at the park headquarters to get a briefing before you head off for the hike. Hiking starts at a round 10am and its take about 6 hours to reach the summit. You will meet a lot of tree species and other wild life. If you are a bird watcher brace yourself because you will enjoy this. Dinner and overnight at the tented camp. FB

Day 3: Descending & Departure

On this last day of your 3 days Nyiragongo hiking safari, you will descend from the top of the mountain after breakfast in time, arrive at your starting point by midday and catch your journey back to Kigali City and home later on. You will reach Kigali before 19:00 hrs for your departure. Please endeavor to book your departure flight after this time.
