Day 1; Arrival at Kigali International Airport, travel to Virunga
Your travel guide for the entire visit will meet you at Kigali International Airport. You will share a cup of coffee then set out travel northwest of Rwanda to the Virunga volcanic region that expands into DR Congo and Uganda. You will cross the Rubavu border post check into your hotel in Goma town of DR Congo or Virunga National Park depending on time of arrival at and clearance at border crossing post.
Day 2; Hike Nyiragongo

Day 3; Descend Nyiragongo, travel to Volcanoes National Park

Rise up at first light and capture an amazing sunrise with an aerial advantage over the rest of Virunga National Park. You will set out after breakfast and retreat to the base station to meet up your travel guide. Then you will bid farewell to Virunga National Park and DR Congo and retreat to your new place of exploration Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda.
Day 4; Mountain gorilla trekking, travel to Kigali City
The Rwanda gorilla trekking expedition is a lifetime achievement. Start the day with an early morning breakfast travel to Rwanda gorilla trekking assembling point. Day 5; Travel to Akagera National Park, boat cruise, sunset drive
Take an early breakfast, travel west of Kigali City, explore the countryside and discover the Akagera National Park; a flat plain destination with woodland, grassland and wetland vegetation. The beautiful vegetation is home to different mammal species, elephants, buffalos, leopards, lions, giraffe, elands, zebras, waterbucks, rhinos, warthogs, hyenas amongst others in large populations. The terrain is conducive to spot mammals of any age, any size at close range. Beautiful birds flock in large from all corners. The afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema brings travelers on tour of Rwanda closer to yawning hippos, crocodiles and water bird species. Climax the adventure of the day with a sunset game viewing drive as you retreat to the safari lodge.
Day 6; Game viewing drive, Departure
Rise up with the early bird. Take a hot cup of coffee and set out on a game viewing expedition.
