Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, travel to Kahuzi Biega National Park
Your safari guide will pick you up from Kigali International Airport upon your arrival in the morning. The travel begins shortly after sharing a cup of coffee. You will travel southwest along through the Butare and Nyanza towns with magical views of the Nyungwe forests and Lake Kivu. You will cross the Changungu border post and travel along the shores of Lake Kivu onto Bukavu a lakeside town. Check into your hotel and enjoy the luxuries at your disposal.
Day 2: Lowland gorilla trekking
Rise up at first light. Take a quick breakfast and meet your travel guide in the car park yard. You will travel to Kahuzi Biega National Park visitor assembly centre at Lwiro. Shortly, the rangers give you a brief orientation about the park, tourism activities and gorilla trekking regulations.
