Kidepo National park is a Ugandan national park located between Uganda bordering South Sudan in north East part of Uganda, in Karamoja district and lies on 1,442 km square, dominated by 2,750 meters (9,020) feet, a few meters (5km) from eastern Kenya border its 700km away from Kampala city, the national park was gazetted in 1962.

The National park is recognized as a wilderness sanctuary renowned for diverse wildlife, rich cultural heritage, and the beauty of the views in the park.   CLIMATE IN KIDEPOO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

The national park is a semi arid climate, characterized by hot and dry session for the most of the year the park has two distinct seasons, along dry and short wet season. According to its location which is normally a very hot area most of the months during the year. The temperatures in Kidepo valley national park can go as high as 40°C/104°F, around 29°C/84°F in the afternoon and 17°C/63°F at night. However, around April, May, June, July, August When compared to the Wet seasons of the parks in the south, there isn’t a lot of rainfall. The lowest yearly temperatures are experienced, but the daytime still averages around 27°C/81°F, with morning temperatures around 17°C/63°F.
